SnippetShift Support
Help with installation, provider setup, code translation, custom presets, comparison, privacy controls, and locally stored data.
Before contacting support
- Confirm the extension and Chrome are up to date.
- For AI translation, verify that your selected provider key and model are valid.
- Use Test connection in Settings. Provider errors and charges are controlled by that provider.
- Try an offline-compatible target to distinguish extension behavior from provider availability.
- Never include API keys, passwords, confidential source code, or license secrets in a support message.
Privacy and local-data controls
Settings provides controls to remove API keys, clear cache and usage, revoke AI consent, and deactivate a license. Translation history can be cleared from the popup. See the privacy policy for retention and provider disclosures.
